NATURAL COLOR COTTON

Sourcing certified organic cotton produced in fields from family owned farms across Perú.

We are proud to share our partnership with organic cotton supplier Bergman Rivera and the first pilot of Regenerative Organic Cotton Certified.

Wild cotton colors 100% natural, 0% dyes, 100% organic cotton.

BOTANICAL DYES

High-performance dyes are synthesized from non edible agricultural or herbal industries waste such as leaves or nutshells. Using natural waste based raw materials has no negative impact in any other steps of the dye process.

HEMP

Hemp is a variant of the Cannabis sativa plant used for industrial purposes. As a textile  fiber, hemp was used five thousand years ago to make clothes, sails, and paper in many cultures and civilizations.

SMART FIBERS

Cationic pretreated raw cotton fiber. Benefits when dyeing:

  • Reduces water use by as much as 90%
  • Shorter production time 30% less time less energy, water and dyestuff and no use of salt.

FIBERS FROM RENEWABLE RAW WOOD

Sourcing from Lenzing™ Tencel™ Lyocell and Tencel™ modal fibers. All lenzing fibers have earned the us dept of agriculture (USDA) biopreferred designation and are certified.

CARBON
ZERO

Carbon- zero TENCEL™  fibers are derived from renewable wood sources, manufactured with sustainable processes and 100% biodegradable. TENCEL™ goes beyond carbon offsetting by reducing carbon emissions and using renewable energy during the production process.

INDIGO COLOR
TECHNOLOGY

IMG_0249

Indigo color technology greatly reduces the indigo contamination throughout the production process. Which is one of the greatest setbacks for a knitting and dyeing facility to proceed in indigo or pigment dye products.

FUZE

Fuze™ is applied directly to surfaces with a patented atomized spray method. No product or water is wasted or dumped downstream after the application.

RECYCLED FIBERS

REFIBRA™ technology Lenzing™: involves upcycling a substantial portion of cotton scraps in which the raw material is transformed to produce new virgin Tencel™ lyocell. Repreve™ is a recycled performance fiber, used to make sustainable textiles with wicking, odor control, water resistance, and more.

REPREVE

Sourcing Repreve® post consumer polyester staple from unifi manufacturing inc. (usa) Repreve™ from unifo is the leading, most trusted, branded performance fiber made from recycled materials (including plastic bottles)

OUR PARTNERS

WE ARE CONSTANTLY EVOLVING, AS WE DEVELOP WAYS TO REDUCE OUR
IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT. STARTING WITH FIBER AND MATERIALS THROUGH THE DESIGN
PROCESS AND PRODUCTION. WE ARE CONTINUALLY INTEGRATING INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS.

cotton in convertion

COTTON IN CONVERTION

WTS partners with our suppliers and clients to promote the use of cotton in conversion, which incentivizes and enables farmers to transform their land and adopt sustainable farming methods. By supporting this sustainability initiative encourages farmers to regenerate their soil without being burdened by the financial risk and lower yields experienced during the 3-year transitional period to organic cotton.

USCOTTON

U.S COTTON TRUST PROTOCOL

In a period of ever greater supply chain scrutiny and a growing demand for transparency and traceability, The U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol® sets a new standard for more sustainably grown cotton. It brings quantifiable and verifiable goals and measurement to sustainable cotton production and drives continuous improvement in key sustainability metrics.

REGENERATIVE ORGANIC CERTIFIED (ROC)

WTS is part of Bergman Riveras first pilot of regenerative organic cotton certified in Peru. Every 1000 units committed will translate in 1 acre of soil saved for the future and contributing to reversal of climate change. While we are still evolving, Peru is the most advanced country in regenerative farming due to long term cultural commitment to regenerative practices.
